Meghauli Airport

You can drive to Chitwan National Park -- which we did from the Seti River (about 3 hours), but by the time you arrive over this bumpy road you're kidneys will be in a new place. Fortunately, when it was time to leave, we flew out. This is our airport....grass field.

Rafting

Seven of us loaded into these two rafts. I was a bit surprised that we needed helmets for Class 2. Wellllllll, it was more like Class 3. And, you don't need the helmet in case you fall out, you need it to protect yourself from flying oars of the other rafters.

Not bad for a tent!

Seti Dining Lodge

By 6 pm it was dark and dinner was at 7 pm. It was hard to see the food by keroscene lantern. Most of time I was not certain what I was eating. The one time when I saw meat and asked what it was, I was told "cheecken buddies, madam". Hmmmmmm...not one piece I could recognize as any part of a chicken.

Tiger Tops Tent

The tented camps at Tiger Tops were a bit more luxurious than the Seti River camp.

Private Bathroom

Behind the tent is the bathroom....toilet and shower. Again, no electricity so the mirror is fairly useless.

Tiger Tops Dining Hall

Again, no electricity, but here they serve more continental style foods so you knew what you were eating and we actually had potatoes instead of rice one night.
