Die Beetle Die!

Oh those nasty little b*stards! They will devour everything in the garden. And whatever you do, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, hang the beetle "sex and food" lure bags. You will attract all the beetles from everyone's yard. I thought the first one was working so well, I added two more.

Here two sit this morning going at it on my Rose of Sharon. They finished off the climbing hydrangea.

After a bit of online research, I discovered "Milky Spore". It's a bacteria which eats the beetle grubs. Now is the time to apply it as in a few months the grubs will be too far underground for the bacteria to reach. Did you know 1000 beetles (oh, I had at least that many) will produce 50,000 larvae. Something to look forward to. So....die, beetle, die!

Other things in the garden are worth looking at and puttering over.
