Serenbe Update

IMG_6476.jpg It's amazing, I know, but it seems I might actually move in this week. The major holdup was the floors -- remember the leak and the ruined hardwood? Well, we had to wait for more 6" oak to arrive and then we had to wait until the crew could get to me. So...they actually worked over the weekend to get it all done. The truck & crew (one man and his girlfriend) came up Sunday with the stuff from the Florida condo. After looking at the floors, walking around and talking about it a bit, we decided to put the furniture in the garage and give the floors a few more days.

I'll work today and go down tomorrow to manage all the other deliveries (beds, W/D, cable, phone, more furniture, etc.). Now that you can do so much shopping on line, stuff is being delivered from everyone. A table from here, chairs from there, lamps and accessories from other places. It's somewhat of a mess to manage on the backend.

Hopefully, all the plantings for the garden area will come in this week. The shed & garden are perfect -- small enough to be manageable. 315651-1542795-thumbnail.jpg

How exciting! Everything looks fabulous. Love that garden area. I will be in contact someday on our next trip up your way. BTW - we loved North Georgia (Historic Dahloenga is so cool - Magical Threads in town is the best quilt store I have ever been too).

Can't wait to hear more about the move.

I agree on Dalonega. I've never been to that quilt store -- woohoo, now I have a great excursion to plan. I'll let you know how it compares to my local favorite -- Tiny Stitches.

I'm waiting for THE PARTY - you've got to get the Dalton Gang together for a weekend. It's been too long. I would love to see your place - it looks absolutely wonderful and I know you must be thrilled that the project is finished. Miss you and would love to spend some time together sharing "old" and new stories.
