Suelily Made My Day!

You know I've been checking my mailbox everyday waiting for my postcard to arrive from an anonymous food oriented blogger somewhere in the world. It is so seldom there is anything in the mailbox other than junk of some sort the thought of real words written by a real person on something addressed to me personally......well, it's just wonderful. (Doesn't take a lot to excite me.)

When I left the house yesterday afternoon the mailman had not yet arrived, but when I checked last night this is what was waiting for me....postcard055.jpga postcard of the view from Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park from a delightful young lady known as Suelily in blogland. I had thought the best part of this postcard event would be waiting for your postcard and the delight of receiving someting hand written from someone you didn't know yet with whom you share the addiction to anything related to cooking. I was wrong....the best part of this postcard was that it instantly prompted me to get on the internet and research Acadia National Park...to learn more about this beautiful landscape and now I can't wait to visit there. What a gorgeous place. If there are loons anywhere around there, it will just be over the top for me. Thank you, dear Suelily and, of couse, Meeta for thinking up such a delightful idea.

Gorgeous. We hope to get there someday (in the RV).. our favorite campgrounds so far have been either State or COE (Corp of Eng). There's so much to see in this beautiful country.

Can you imagine Acadia in the fall ?

Wonderful! I need to get on the internet and find out about this place, too. Never heard about it before.
