Taco Stinko!

Welllll, I tried the Taco Soup at lunch and didn't think it was all that great. I mean, it wasn't terrible or anything, but when you add a package of Ranch Dressing Mix and a package of Taco Seasoning Mix, it gives an undertone that's kind of "muddy", if you know what I mean. All the flavors just run together.  I get "mud" a lot when I paint, too. Guess I'm just muddy. I would like to try this again, but create the flavor with the unadulterated spices. Don't think I'll post this one.

But, the Blueberry Pudding Cake was good -- did manage a piece of that with a nice glass of milk before I went to bed. (The recipe is posted in "cooking".)

Need to start planning trip to West Coast -- a few vacation days. I want to go to the Big Sur area, maybe stay at Clint Eastwood's  place -- The Mission Ranch -- around Carmel, Julia Pfiffer State Park, Muir Woods (?), and then somehow get down to the Hearst Castle. Any ideas? It would be fun just to wing it -- no set schedule. The last time I checked flights, rate was around $400 -- that may have changed since the storms. Hmmmm...may be too expensive. Please share any thoughts regarding food (I will check out www.roadfood.com) and lodging.

J - Sorry you can't count on food advice from me! If it doesn't come in a box or a can - or easily delivered - it never makes it to our table. He He. You see I'm not a cook :(

Yeah, but look at all the other stuff you do! There's only so much time in a day. Don't forget to check out roadfood.com before your trip.
