My Playroom

I'm really fortunate in that about 5 years ago, I decided to finish the basement. It was a major undertaking, but it has ended up being a wonderful sanctuary. . .the place I enjoy the most, especially in the cold winter months. There are 2 windows, so you don't feel completely burrowed, a TV area at one end with the balance for creating.

The computer station. . .mostly for paying bills, blech!

My kind of journaling. . .I started this one in 2003. Hard to find much time, but I do try to write in it at least eveyr month or so.House_20051001_0009.JPG

My first scrapbook. . .this is the really old stuff, my Mom when she was a little girl and up to my birth. I just could not get into putting it inside plastic sleeves, even though I knew it might protect the contents. I hate plastic. Not great, but at least it's getting all the stuff into one place. Quite an accomplishment.

WOW - Creation Heaven! This is just a fabulous space. The surface and storage areas you have are amazing. Good job on the scrapbook. Re: plastic - i learned in my first scrapbook class - that the peel and stick albums (of years ago) are not good for your photos. Eventually your photos will yellow. Just FYI. The new scrapbooks - are archival safe - and typically include top or side loaded plastic pages. I prefer the top loading style. Actually the plastic is a good thing - they hold all the embellishments in place. Anyway - thanks for sharing your space pics - i'm envious. Lucy

What a fabulous work area! I'd have a heck of a time convincing myself to leave and go to work :). Thanks for sharing, I absolutely love to see how other crafter's set their "studio's" up.

Tks for input Lucy - I did make sure this book says "archival" quality. I do agree, plastic would add some protection and allow for embellishment, just did not seem to work creatively. Boy, sure takes a lot of time. I haven't finished the first one and then there's mine, and then Laura's, and then the kids.

You're right, CJ - I never want to go to work. LOL
